Serves 1–2
1 apple or pear, peeled, cored and sliced
Place apple or pear in a small saucepan with a small amount of water.
Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simme until fruit is soft.
Drain excess water, reserving one tablespoon of cooking liquid.
Allow to cool and mash with reserved cooking liquid.
