Makes 13 slices from 1 loaf
Ingredients
2 ripe bananas, mashed
¾ cup dates, chopped
2 cups wholemeal self-raising flour
1 cup water
2 teaspoons cinnamon
Method

Preheat oven to 180°C.

Line a loaf tin with baking paper.

Place dates, cinnamon and water in a saucepan over low–medium heat and simmer for 5–8 minutes so that it thickens slightly. Take the saucepan off the heat. Add and mix the banana and flour until just combined.

Place mixture in the loaf tin and bake for 45–60 minutes, or until golden brown.
